Sydney Metro West Project-Linewide
The NSW Government is delivering Sydney Metro West - a new underground metro railway which will double rail capacity between Parramatta and the Sydney CBD, transforming Sydney for generations to come.
This once-in-a-century infrastructure investment will provide fast, reliable turn-up- and-go metro services with fully accessible stations, link new communities to rail services and support employment growth and housing supply. Stations have been confirmed at Westmead, Parramatta, Sydney Olympic Park, North Strathfield, Burwood North, Five Dock, The Bays, Pyrmont and Hunter Street in the Sydney CBD.
Sydney Metro West will target an opening date of 2032.
Sydney Metro has engaged John Holland to deliver theLinewide project. Delivering 60kms of track across the network, installation of rail systems and construction of Sydney Metro West's 38-hectarestabling andmaintenance facility in Clyde.
The Linewide project scope relates to delivery of end-to-end systems for Sydney Metro West, fit out of the tunnels, cross passages and caverns, fit out of Linewide systems at the Stations, an integrated a stabling and maintenance facility to clean, maintain, repair and store trains, a service facility at Rosehill and rail infrastructure to support day-to-day operations for Sydney Metro West including but not limited to:
Enabling works and site establishment at;
o The Bays,
o Burwood North,
o Clyde Stabling and Maintenance Facility (SMF),
o Rosehill Service Facility (RSF) and
o Sydney Olympic Park
Tunnel fit out works, including track, overhead wiring (OHW), track drainage, walkway and Mechanical and Engineering (M&E)
Station fit out works, including high voltage (HV) and tunnel ventilation system (TVS)
Clyde SMF including buildings, civil works, Contained Service Route (CSR), track, overhead wiring (OHW)
Rosehill Service Facility including buildings, civil works, CSR, track, OHW
Tunnel Dive building construction
Treatment and disposal of material not suitable for reuse will be offsite disposal in accordance with approvals
Project wide testing and commissioning of tunnel systems, facilities and equipment
Rehabilitation of temporary construction sites and removal of temporary works, including acoustic sheds, site sheds and plant.
