The BS1 project is a greenfield satellite mine development to the Brockman 4 (B4) mine site located within the Greater Brockman Hub in the West Pilbara, approximately 8km north of the existing B4 operations.
The BS1 project is located on the country of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people and the Pinikura people (PKKP), and on the country of the traditional owners of Muntulgura Guruma people (MG).
The Project includes:
* Run-of-Mine (ROM) Pad with single tip point for both 830E and 930E Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) trucks and five blending stockpiles;
* Primary crushing facility (in-direct-fed) and discharge conveyor;
* Overland conveyor (single flight, 7.9km long);
* Surge bin facility, feeding onto existing primary crushed ore conveyor;
* Modifications and upgrades to existing conveyor;
* Modifications to the existing Transfer Bin apron feeder;
* Production hub facilities;
* Heavy vehicle (HV)/light vehicle (LV) refuelling facility;
* HV and LV road networks, including mine access road connecting to the B4-B2 Access Road;
* Road train transfer area, connecting to the B4-B2 Road Train Haul Road (by others);
* Surface water management structures, including pit diversion drains and levees;
* Dewatering infrastructure, including bores, headworks and transfer pipelines;
* Water infrastructure, including turkey's nests, pump station and discharge pipeline from BS1 to BS4;
* 33kV network and associated infrastructure;
* Communications networks and associated infrastructure; and
* Temporary construction accommodation camp (approximately ~800 - 1,300 room capacity).
