The West Angelas process plant was constructed in 2002 and expanded in 2005 to achieve the Company's nameplate capacity. The mine recently increased production in expanded in 2021 with mining additional deposits C and D.
Subject to internal, external and regulatory approvals, the West Angelas Sustaining Project (WASP) seeks to sustain production for the West Angelas mine, developing three (3) additional deposits / ore bodies, namely Western Hill (WH), Deposit H (DH), and Deposit F-North.
The West Angelas deposits are located in the East Pilbara, approximately 100 km east of Paraburdoo and approximately 110 km west-northwest of Newman.
The West Angelas operation forms part of the Robe River Iron Associates Joint Venture.
Expected completion Q4 2027.
The WASP project is located on the country of the Yinhawangka and Ngarlawangga people (Y&N).
To support the development of the three (3) additional deposits / ore bodies there will be a multiple package.
