Project Overview:
BHP Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO) is currently studying options as part of the WAIO Growth Program, which aims to grow WAIO's iron ore production capacity to ~330 Mtpa.
As part of the project, the Company is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from suitably qualified contractors to gain an understanding of the capacity and capability of available contractors for the proposed project.
Scope Overview:
The proposed project will require the expansion and debottlenecking of WAIO's port capacity by developing an infrastructure and operating solution which will reliably and sustainably deliver a growth pathway to 330Mtpa.
Indicative Timeline:
As per individual EOI work packages, main construction works forecast CY 2025.
Local and indigenous participation:
In line with BHP's commitment to supporting its communities, requirements relating to the engagement of local and Indigenous vendors will be included in the selection criteria.
