Central Pilbara Hub Surplus Water Stage 1 (CPHSW1)

Overview

Scope Overview:
The Project aims to expand the capacity of existing surplus water management scheme to increase surplus water discharge capacity to support two (2) of BHP's existing mines - South Flank ('SF') and Mining Area C ('MAC'). The Project will enable access to below water table ore. The scope summary includes:
1. Expansion of SF water transfer infrastructure.
2. Implementation of two (2) new surplus water schemes at MAC, comprising:
(a) Northeast ('NE') scheme; and
(b) Northwest ('NW') scheme.
For package specific scopes, please refer to individual EOI work packages.

Indicative Timeline:
As per individual EOI work packages, main construction works forecast commencement is CY 2027.

Local and Indigenous Participation:
In line with BHP's commitment to supporting its communities, requirements relating to the engagement of local and indigenous vendors will be included in the selection criteria.

BHP's approach sets out the minimum health, safety, environment, community and business conduct requirements for BHP's contractors including suppliers, contractors and services providers. These requirements apply to all of BHP's contractors globally as well as any entities engaging these contractors on BHP's behalf.
