In just 12 months since joining ICN as a premium subscriber, a regional Queensland vegetation management company has seen a "massive" return on investment and won two major contracts.

Blinco's Yard Service founder and owner Jason Blinco said having the ICN subscription "has given us a professional edge as potential customers can view our profile and see what we do".

Using state-of-the-art earthmoving equipment, Blincos punches above its weight, tackling even the most challenging and large-scale properties.

Services include:

- vegetation management of commercial and council land, acreages and developments.

- commercial acreage mowing

- slashers and robotic mowing

- soft landscaping

"ICN Gateway has really helped our small family-run vegetation management business win more work and have a presence online," Jason said.

"Five companies have found us online through our profile on ICN Gateway, they viewed our products and services and contacted me directly as a result of the premium profile.

"All of the five calls resulted in paying work, and two ended up in long-term slashing contracts. One was regular commercial block maintenance and the other regular residential maintenance for a large property investment company.

"The best thing is these customers are willing to pay the good money to get the high-quality maintenance they saw on ICN, and they've given us a good amount of regular work to keep us all busy."

These new contracts mean the company can employ a new team member, as well as give pay rises to all its staff. It will also be buying more equipment in the next 12 months to keep up with demand. Meanwhile, Blincos has had interest from other companies looking for suppliers and is in the process of actively tendering for work. As a proud local business, Blincos sources equipment and stock from suppliers in the Western Downs, Maranoa and Balonne regions.

"We can continue to shop locally and support many of the other small businesses in the town we live in. This is of great value to us as we are particularly keen to support our small community," Jason said, adding that he has also recommended a Gateway subscription to some of suppliers. "The ease of use and value for ROI has made this an investment we are happy to have put money into."

According to ICN's Premium Customer Care Manager, Jen Maxwell, Blincos is a good example of how a small business can maximise its subscriptions.

"Businesses with a handful of staff and a lower turnover, or sole traders that subcontract work might not be suitable for large project work," she said.

"Blincos would never have been in the running for big project work. But the exposure of ICN gateway, and the fact that ICN understands the needs of small business, has helped them grow and succeed.

"We were able to explain how to use Gateway to get the best results and they are now winning work and have a website and professional capability statement to further boost their business."
