The New Bundaberg Hospital is a significant development for Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Region. The project will deliver jobs for the region and provide the community better access to health care. The project provides an opportunity for local contractors to participate in a project providing a long-lasting legacy for the region.
CPB Contractors has been appointed by the Queensland Government, through Queensland Health, Health Capital Division (HCD) as managing contractor for stage one of the new Bundaberg Hospital.
The New Bundaberg Hospital (NBH) consists of a six-storey Clinical Services Building, a Facility Support Centre, Mental Health Facility, external roads and an on-grade carpark to be located on a new 60,000sqm greenfield site.

Main Contract works will also include new road and infrastructure services to the site.
The project is currently progressing Schematic Design with early works targeted to start at the end of 2023.
The new Bundaberg Hospital has an overall value of $1.2 billion. It is part of the Queensland Government's $9.78 billion Queensland Health and Hospitals Plan (Capacity Expansion Program) and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2027.
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
All suitably qualified contractors are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for one or more of the associated Trade Packages. Successful applicants will be assessed against selection criteria and subsequently invited to submit a Tender for the respective works.
All trade subcontractors are to note that a condition precedent for all trade packages over a value of one million dollars are required to be Prequalified Subcontractors under the Queensland Government Prequalification Scheme (PQC).
