Wellington North Solar Farm is located approximately 5km North of Wellington in NSW. The project is intended to consist of over 750,000 PV panels, 104 medium voltage power conversion stations and associated balance of plant, and will have a DC nameplate capacity of 425MWp.
Wellington Solar Farm will connect into the national electricity grid via an overhead line into the TransGrid's 330KV Wellington substation.
The project consists of a 425MWdc solar farm approximately 7km north-east of Wellington off the Goolma Rd and 50km south east of Dubbo in the Orana Region of NSW. The project has been approved by the NSW Department of Planning Industry and Environment with construction, which will create around 400 jobs is due to begin soon.
The solar farm is adjacent to our 200MWdc Wellington solar farm which is currently in construction. Once operational, both sites will create a solar hub with a combined installed capacity of 625MWdc.
