Rex Minerals SA, is undertaking the development of the Hillside Project, located within the District Council of Yorke Peninsula (DCYP) local government area. The Hillside Project site is approximately 150 km by road from Adelaide, 12 km south of the town of Ardrossan (10 km south of the Port of Ardrossan) and 3 km north of Pine Point, South Australia.
The Feasibility Study focuses on a 6 Mt/a start-up copper-gold recovery plant process plant with concentrate being shipped from Adelaide.
You are invited to register an expression of interest if you have the relevant capability and capacity and experience relevant to the scope of work. Suppliers and contractors will only be considered for prequalification and tender lists if suitably qualified.
Key components of the proposed Hillside Copper Mine include:
- Open pit
- Mineral processing plant and supporting mining infrastructure
- Mine waste rock and tailings storage facility
- Highway diversions and road upgrades
- Electricity supply sourced via a new power line from Ardrossan substation to the mine site
Hillside has the potential to provide significant economic benefit to SA and have a direct positive impact on the economy of the Yorke Peninsula, alongside the existing important industries of agriculture and tourism. This is through upgraded power and port facilities, access to fresh water and the creation of local jobs.
