DEFENCE ESTABLISHMENT ORCHARD HILLS REDEVELOPMENT

The Commonwealth Department of Defence is undertaking a major Project at Defence Establishment Orchard Hills (DEOH).

DEOH is approximately 9km south of Penrith and 55km west of the Sydney CBD. The site has been in use as a training facility and other purposes since the 1940s.

Hansen Yuncken Pty Ltd (HY) has been engaged by the Commonwealth as Managing Contractor for the Project.

HY is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified enterprises to participate in tenders for work packages, details of which are available on Gateway by ICN.

The works to be undertaken include new build facilities, refurbishment works and associated upgrades to Base infrastructure. The works are anticipated to be undertaken over a 3 1/2-year period via direct trade subcontracts with HY on behalf of the Commonwealth.

The Project is bound by the requirements of select Commonwealth policies including the Indigenous Procurement Policy, Australian Skills Guarantee Procurement Connected Policy and Environmentally Sustainable Procurement Policy. The capability and capacity of enterprises to contribute to the achievement of policy requirements will be evaluated for all procurements where indicated.

Interested enterprises are requested to complete the questionnaire on Gateway by ICN for the work package or packages of interest and complete and upload an Invitation to Register Interest (ITR).

Enterprises wishing to express interest for more than one package must complete a separate questionnaire and ITR for each package.

HY will assess completed questionnaires and ITRs and shortlist enterprises based on per the weighting criteria nominated in the ITR.

Enterprises successful in being shortlisted will be contacted by HY and invited to participate in a competitive Invitation to Tender.

  3) Please review and download the ITR document, and complete the questionnaire from (HY) within the appropriate work package/s to be considered. Work Pages that are a Two (2) Stage Procurement Process will involve Step 1. Expression of Interest via ICN (ITR Process) and Step 2. Formal Tender for selected shortlisted Tenderers.
