Cairns Airport is seeking to deliver an allocation of projects for the ongoing upgrade and maintenance of the airfield. These projects include asphalt overlays of existing pavements, airfield lighting replacements (including cabling and control systems).

• Works Package 1 – Taxiway C (C3-C4) Asphalt Overlay
• Works Package 2 – General Aviation Parking Asphalt Overlay
• Works Package 3 – Taxiway Airfield lighting upgrades
• Works Package 4 – Docking Guidance Systems replacement
• Works Package 5 – Taxiway B PME Treatment  
• Works Package 6 – Runway Guard Lights Supply and Install
• Works Package 7 – Movement Area Guidance (MAG) sign replacement
• Works Package 8 – Eastern Taxiway AGL cable replacement
• Works Package 9 – Western Taxiway AGL Cable replacement
• Works Package 10 – AGL Control system upgrade
• Works Package 11 – Runway shoulder reseal
• Works Package 12 – Taxiway D – Asphalt Overlay 
• Works Package 13 – International Apron Floodlighting upgrade
• Works Package 14 – Domestic Apron Floodlighting upgrade
• Works Package 15 – General Aviation Flood lighting upgrade 
• Works Package 16 – Taxiway D – Asphalt Overlay

DELIVERY SCHEDULE

It is anticipated the works will be delivered as a programme of projects across a 5 year period. These projects will be prioritised and delivered in an agreed program between 2022 and 2027.

 EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Cairns Airport encourages local industry interested in supplying to the project to register an expression of interest (EOI) through the ICN Gateway webpage.

Information on specific supply opportunities will be communicated on the ICN Gateway project page as it becomes available, with local industry able to register its interest against them.

Please ensure that:

• Your company profile on the ICN Gateway is complete, up-to-date and accurate including electing to be notified via e-mail of supply opportunities
• You register your interest as a full or partial scope supplier (where applicable), and
• You respond to all project and work package-specific questions.

It is important that businesses submitting an EOI are aware that their submission does not guarantee that they will progress further in the procurement process. Only companies that can demonstrate capability and capacity in accordance with Cairns Airport standards will be invited to pre-qualify for specific opportunities.
