Partnering to support Australia's sovereign defence capability

With a proven record in major Defence infrastructure delivery, robust governance systems and established security credentials, Prime South is preparing its response to the Request for Proposal for the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) Work Package 2 (WP2) for the Commonwealth.

In March 2023, the Australian Government announced the Optimal Pathway for the acquisition of conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines under the AUKUS partnership. A critical element of this pathway is the development of the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) at Osborne, South Australia.

Led by Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI), the NPSCY represents a nationally significant program of works that will provide the specialised infrastructure required to support Australia's future nuclear-powered submarine capability over the long term.

Prime South has mobilised an integrated Adelaide-based team and is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified organisations to support the development of its response to the NPSCY WP2 RFP.

Subject to selection by ANI, Prime South would work collaboratively with key program stakeholders to deliver certainty by design, put the program first, and contribute to the development and delivery of submarine build-ready facilities that support Australia's sovereign defence capability and the broader objective of

delivering boats in the water by 2042.
