Overview
Greatland Pty Ltd (Greatland) is developing the Havieron Project, a major brownfields gold-copper mining development located in the Paterson Province of Western Australia, approximately 45 km east of the existing Telfer operation and 485 km south-east of Port Hedland.
Acquired by Greatland in 2024, the Telfer operation provides significant existing infrastructure that underpins the development of Havieron, including processing, power, water, logistics and accommodation facilities.
The Havieron Project includes the development of significant surface and underground infrastructure required to support Greatlands long term operational plans.
Key surface infrastructure comprises a new 55 km sealed haul road connecting Havieron to Telfer, a 132 kV transmission line and associated power infrastructure, raw water supply infrastructure and pipeline, evaporation ponds, workshops, administration and operational facilities, accommodation infrastructure, utilities, information technology, and other key packages.
In parallel, the Project will develop a large-scale underground mining operation including underground mine development, ventilation systems, dewatering systems, paste reticulation systems and associated underground services required to support safe and sustainable mining operations.
