Someva Renewables is an Australian renewable energy company that works with landowners, communities, and industry leaders to deliver clean, affordable and reliable energy to help power Australia's future.
The project, which has received approval from the NSW Independent Planning Commission, will feature up to 62 wind turbines and will generate approximately 372 MW of clean, affordable and reliable energy, enough to power 163,000 Australian homes.
The project is located 8km south-east of Nundle in NSW, at the head of the Peel Valley on the Great Dividing Range.
The associated infrastructure includes:
* Wind turbines and their hardstands
* Battery energy storage systems
* Internal access tracks
* Temporary construction compounds
* Operations and maintenance facilities
* Underground electrical cabling
* Substation and associated electrical infrastructure
* 330 kV transmission line
* 330 kV grid connection infrastructure
* Public road and transport route upgrades, where required
The project is estimated to provide Full Time Equivalent (FTE) employment for up to 211 personnel during construction and 28 personnel during operations. Construction of the project is planned to start in 2028.
The Hills of Gold Wind Farm will commence the process for engaging main contractors in late 2026. It is expected that most of the work packages on the ICN Gateway website will be contracted through our selected main contractors. From 2027, the main contractors may commence their procurement process for the work packages outlined on this website. Expressions of interest submissions will remain open on ICN Gateway till June 2027.
