Overview

Perth's New Runway is being delivered through two construction contracts and is expected to be ready and available for use in 2028.

Enabling and landside works:

Construction of a new 3km long runway, parallel to the existing main runway and with 2km separation for independent operations. Includes associated taxiways, lighting, navigation systems, drainage and security infrastructure. Located outside the current airport operating environment.

Airside works:

New taxiways and upgrades within the live airfield operating environment.
