The proposed Coonerang Wind Farm is a 264 MW wind farm and battery energy storage system project. The proposed Coonerang Wind Farm is located approximately 15 kilometres south of Cooma in the Snowy-Monaro region of NSW.

The project is estimated to provide Full Time Equivalent (FTE) employment for up to 127 personnel during construction and 17 personnel during operations. Construction of the project is planned to commence in late 2028, if approved.
The proposed Coonerang Wind Farm will commence the process for engaging main contractors after the approval process is complete. It is expected that most of these work packages on the ICN Gateway website will be contracted through our selected main contractors. From 2028, the main contractors may commence their procurement process of the work packages outlined on this website. Expressions of interest submissions will remain open on ICN Gateway till December 2026.
