Overview
Fluence Energy Pty Ltd is developing a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), for our client AGL, with a capacity of approximately 500 megawatts (MW) and 2,000 megawatt-hour (MWh) (Facility), designed as two generating systems of 250 megawatts (MW) and 1000 megawatt-hour (MWh) each, for Tomago AGL Pty Ltd, which join together on the facility 132kV bus before transmission to the Point of Connection (PoC). The Project would provide a range of network services to augment the reliability of energy supply, provide storage and firming capacity to the National Energy Market (NEM) as well as additional services to assist grid stability including frequency control ancillary services.
The Project site is approximately 700m Northwest of Tomago Substation, adjacent to Old Punt Road(Site).
