NARROGIN WIND FARM
Neoen is developing the Narrogin Wind Farm project in the Shire of Narrogin and Williams, 160 km southeast of Perth. The renewable energy project comprises up to 23 wind turbines with a maximum production capacity of up to 200 MW, a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 100 MW/200 MWh, and associated infrastructure
This project will take advantage of some of the best wind resources in WA to provide affordable and clean electricity. The project can connect into the state's South West Interconnected System (SWIS) from an existing 220 kV transmission line near its southern boundary.
It has been awarded critical project status with Western Power to enable a timely connection. The Project will provide economic benefits to the local community, including the creation of up to 250 jobs during the up to 33-month construction period and between 10-15 permanent jobs during the 30+ years operational period.
Construction will start in early 2026.
