The Barwon Heads Road Duplication (WP5) is being delivered by FCC Construction Australia for Major Roads Projects Victoria (MRPV). The project involves a wide variety of civil road construction trades including earthworks, drainage, subsoils, service relocation, pavements, barriers, guard rail, wire rope safety barrier, kerb & channel, traffic signals, street lights, retaining walls, piling, FRP concrete, bridge beam install, asphalting, linemarking and landscaping. Also required for the scope are a number of services to support the permanent work including Traffic Management, NDD service locating, temporary site facilities, cleaning, waste disposal, cartage, monitoring equipment and other common services to the civil construction industry. As of May 2025, the project has commenced its Delivery Phase and work is expected to be completed in Q1 2027. The project is funded jointly by the Victorian and Federal Governments and is subject to the procurement objectives of the Victorian Government with organisations that excel in Social Procurement, Local Jobs First and the Building Equality Policy presenting a strong case for contributing to this important State project.

Supply and place concrete to form kerb and channel along the project length. Combination of machine placed and hand formed sections. Scope includes VicRoads standard kerb types and driveway crossings
Supply and install of all soft landscaping elements on the project to DTP Specification 720 and 752 including ongoing maintenance during plant establishment.
Supply and installation of post and panel retaining walls including drilling of piles, supply and placement of steel posts, concrete sleepers and handrail/fencing.
Placement of type 1 rock beaching to DTP Specification 713 at the new Armstrong Creek Bridge.
Supply & Installation of steel railing on top of concrete barriers at Armstrong Creek Bridge.
