Jet Zero has completed feasibility studies, negotiated key agreements, attracted strong financial backers and lenders, and recently commenced Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) with a world-leading ATJ technology provider LanzaJet and construction contractor Technip Energies and Long Energy & Resources for a first-of-a-kind commercial scale 113 million litre per year Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Renewable Diesel (RD) project in Asia named Project Ulysses, after the iconic North Queensland butterfly.
The project, to be located in North Queensland's Townsville State Development Area (SDA), will convert bioethanol from domestic agricultural by products into both SAF and renewable diesel. Delivering Project Ulysses is forecast to help capture the economic benefits of a domestic SAF industry for Queensland. Project Ulysses is forecast to directly deliver 1,000 construction jobs and more than 100 direct operational jobs to the Townsville regional economy. The Project also has strong supply chain linkages to other key domestic industries and will deliver key demand and employment drivers across the agriculture, aviation, energy, defence and logistics sectors.
At completion Jet Zero's Project Ulysses is targeting to:
