Kane Constructions has been awarded the $75 million project to build the Stage 2 expansion and has extensive experience in managing large-scale healthcare infrastructure projects. The project is part of the hospital's long-term strategy to modernize its facilities and expand its capacity. Interested suppliers must meet the following criteria to be eligible for consideration:
Experience: Suppliers should have a proven track record in delivering healthcare infrastructure projects, particularly in multi-storey buildings, operating theatres, and medical equipment installations.
Technical Expertise: Suppliers must demonstrate experience in the healthcare sector, specifically with medical facilities and sterile environments.
Compliance: Suppliers must comply with all relevant healthcare regulations, including infection control, safety standards, and building codes.
Certifications: Suppliers should hold the necessary certifications for construction and healthcare-related equipment installation, including ISO and industry-specific standards.
References: Suppliers must provide at least three references from healthcare construction projects of similar scale and complexity.
To proceed with the pre-qualification process, suppliers should submit the following information to anglisshospital@kane.com.au by January 2025:
- Company details, financial stability, and relevant project experience.
- Technical proposals for the work packages they wish to bid on, including methodologies, timelines, and risk management plans.
- Copies of relevant certifications and qualifications. Insurance and bonding details.
- A list of key personnel assigned to the project, along with their qualifications and experience in healthcare projects.
The project is expected to be completed in 2026. Suppliers must provide a detailed timeline for each work package, ensuring that all milestones and final completion dates are met. The successful supplier(s) will be required to adhere to strict deadlines to ensure the hospital's new facilities are operational and ready for use by the completion date.
