BROADSOUND SOLAR FARM
The Broadsound Solar Farm spans approximately 2100 acres of predominantly cleared cattle grazing land. The proposed installed capacity of the Project is 376MWdc (296MWac). It will house approximately 645,000 solar modules and several other permanent components, including solar trackers, medium voltage power stations, underground cabling, a step-up substation, an overhead evacuation line, associated operation and maintenance buildings, site access and maintenance tracks, and security fencing.
Temporary components include the construction of laydown compounds, site compounds and a temporary accommodation camp for the workforce during the construction phase. The Project will connect to the National Electricity Network (NEM) via Powerlink's 275kV Broadsound Substation through a new 275kV overhead power line.

DELIVERY SCHEDULE
The Project is anticipated to commence construction in mid-2024 and is to reach completion towards mid-2026.

Broadsound Solar Farm encourages local industry interested in supplying to the project to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the ICN Gateway webpage.
Information on specific supply opportunities will be communicated on the ICN Gateway project page as it becomes available, with local industry able to register its interest against them.

It is important that businesses submitting an EOI are aware that their submission does not guarantee that they will progress further in the procurement process. Only companies that can demonstrate capability and capacity in accordance with the proejct's standards will be invited to pre-qualify for specific opportunities.
Work Packages
Workers Camp
Assisting in the kitchen and general camp staffing duties. Washing up, helping prep food.
Qualified chefs with restaurant / camp experience. Cooking and preparing of camp meals
Cleaning rooms, making beds, removing linen, rubbish bin servicing, maintaining facilities to a clean and hygiene standard.
Provide bulk food goods including fruit, vegetables as well as meats.
Supply and delivery of up to 150,000ltrs of diesel per month
Mowing lawns, spraying weeds, removing rubbing to main bins, washing and cleaning walkways and outdoor areas
Provide cleaning service for washing and folding of linen.
Provide two security guards for the camp, typically 4am-6am and 4pm -12am
MC drivers to operate water trucks, food delivery trucks and linen trucks
Main works package
Provide qualified and trained personnel on an as required basis for solar farm maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with site regulations
- Diagnostics and repair support
- Breakdown service, repairs, and replacement of parts
- Incident reporting and root cause analysis
- Switching and isolation services
- Other solar farm maintenance activities
Relevant standards:
- Workmanlike, efficient, and safe service delivery

-Personnel to be qualified electricians and certified HV operators

Bus hire for transporting workers to and from the site, using a 50-seater 2WD and 4WD bus, for an estimated period of 54 weeks. The route is to be confirmed, but it will most likely be to and from Gladstone or Rockhampton
Cleaning the construction facilities that will host up to 200 workers at the peak. Cleaning of offices, toilets and satellite bases, scope to start approximately mid Nov 2024
Supply and installation of concrete foundations for inverters and other structures
Provision of cranes and operators to place inverters onto the foundations
Supply and installation of 18km of fence and gates around the perimeter of the plant
Supply and installation of steel made water tank
Hire or purchase a flat bed truck with 3.5 tonne towing capacity. Hire will be approx 5 months
Supply of steel foundations according to the design with further installation onsite
Design, supply and construct O&M Building (inc. foundations) and associated infrastructure onsite.
Supply of potable water to onsite offices
Site Security & Systems: nightly security patrols to commence from Nov 2024 onwards and CCTV procurement
Undertake regular maintenance of site via slashing of grass, weed spraying and pest control management onsite
Deliver the service of waste disposal during the construction of the solar farm, including opportunities for recycling
Supply water carts (at least 18kL size carts) for dust suppression and construction water needs
