SSN-AUKUS BUILD PROGRAM
SSN-AUKUS Build Program - Industry Opportunities
Australia, United Kingdom and United States have joined together through the AUKUS partnership to identify an Optimal Pathway to deliver an enduring nuclear-powered submarine (SSN) capability for Australia, referred to as AUKUS Pillar 1.
ASC and BAE Systems were selected to build and deliver Australia's SSN-AUKUS submarines, as part of the SSN-AUKUS Build Program (AUKUS Pillar 1, Phase 3) (SSN-AUKUS Build Program).
AUKUS Pillar 1, Phase 3 - the SSN-AUKUS Build Program
The SSN-AUKUS Build Program's first SSN-AUKUS submarine is intended to be built in Osborne, South Australia. Australia plans to deliver the first Australian-built SSN-AUKUS to the Royal Australian Navy in the early 2040s.
The SSN-AUKUS Build Program is one of the most significant industrial undertakings in Australia's history, and will deliver world-leading maritime capability, advanced manufacturing, industry growth, high paid, high skilled jobs, and infrastructure for decades to come.
This once-in-a-generation, multi-decade endeavour requires an unprecedented industrial transformation, and Australian industry is invited and encouraged to express their interest in potential future opportunities to be part of the SSN-AUKUS Build Program.
