NORSTA MARITIME: Regional Maintenance Provider - North

NORSTA North Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of NORSTA Maritime Pty Ltd (NORSTA).

NORSTA is a 100% Australian-owned company currently operating in North-Eastern Australia and Northern Australia as the Royal Australian Navy's Regional Maintenance Provider (RMP).

NORSTA was the first Regional Maintenance Provider under the Maritime Sustainment Model to coordinate, schedule and manage regional maintenance services for the Royal Australian Navy in North-Eastern Australia, operating out of Cairns.

Recently, NORSTA has expanded its operations to encompass a Northern Australian delivery model having been awarded the contract by Commonwealth's, on the 4-December 2023, to deliver maintenance services to support the current and future Defence vessels in Darwin.

NORSTA is a 100% owned Australian business committed to developing Sovereign capability in the supply chain and Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) companies.

NORSTA does this by:

• working collaboratively with local industry, through structured capability development pathways;
  
• ensuring Northern Australian businesses are effectively empowered, enabled, and rewarded to deliver resilient and agile services; and
• working strategically with industry to provide a more stable environment with longer contract cycles, giving local SMEs greater certainty and predictability.

NORSTA works with Charles Darwin University, the Commonwealth and Northern Territory training support organisations to support the Northern Territory maritime supply chain in attracting and developing additional skilled workers allowing the maritime industry to grow in Darwin.

NORSTA would like to extend this opportunity to local Australian businesses in the Northern Territory and we invite expressions of interest from regional suppliers.

NORSTA is purely established for the purposes of delivering the RMP program and we will work in partnership with the Commonwealth and our local partners and other members of the Technical Support Network (TSN) to transform the regional supply chain.

NORSTA will ensure the Industrial capability in the Northern Territory is developed to deliver seaworthy ships for the Royal Australian Navy, now and into the future, to fight and win at sea.
