ECU City Campus

Project at a glance
The new ECU City Campus will be located at Perth City Link (Lots 10 North and 10 South – West of Yagan Square) and above the Wellington Street bus station. It will be home to the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), the School of Business and Law, an advanced Technology Centre, Creative Industries and Kurongkurl Katitjin – ECU’s Centre for Indigenous Australian Education and Research, amongst others. The purpose-built, multi-storey campus has a targeted opening date in 2025 and will eventually accommodate around 11,000 students and 1,500 staff.
Multiplex’s Role
Multiplex has entered into an Early Contract Involvement (ECI) with Edith Cowan University to deliver the new ECU City Campus. The ECI requires that Multiplex engages Subcontractors to deliver the Works packages. Some packages are procured through a two stage competitive procurement process, being this ITR as the first stage, and an RFT process as the second stage.
To increase opportunities available to Subcontractors and Suppliers, Multiplex has identified a number of packages which it can engage through a two-stage tender process. This first stage, the Invitation to Register Interest (ITR), will enable the Project to short-list organisations to be invited to a Request for Tender (RFT). The two-stage tender process increases opportunities for companies to tender for the works.
