The Second Victorian Renewable Energy Target Auction (VRET2) is now open, aiming to bring online at least 600 megawatts (MW) of new renewable energy capacity in Victoria.
VRET2will contribute to theachievement oflegislated VRET targets as well as theVictorian Government's commitment to source 100per centrenewable electricity for its own operations by 2025.

Please note: the content of this website is intended for renewable energy project sub-contractors and suppliers. Suppliers interested in working with VRET2 proponents are encouraged to submit an EOI through ICN Gateway. Proponents of renewable energy projects intending to participate in VRET2 should go to VMC to access further information about VRET2 Local Jobs First requirements, and refer to the VRET2 RFP in the Buying for Victoria website

Local Content
VRET2 local content and jobs requirements are set in accordance with the Local Jobs First Act 2003.
Minimum local content requirements have been set for VRET2 project proponents. These requirements vary by project technology type and technology type and are outlined in more detail in the VRET2 Request for Proposal (RFP) and the Local Jobs First Policy Requirements Fact Sheet on the Buying for Victoria website.
Timing
VRET2 tender documents were released on 31 August at Buying for Victoria website. VRET2 will close at 2pm on Tuesday 7 December 2021 (AEDT). Theperiod where applicants can submit questions regarding the RFP will close at5pm onTuesday23November 2021 (AEDT).
Successful VRET2 projects are expected to be announced around Q3 2022. Successful VRET2 projects are required to commence commercial operations by 30 December 2024.

HOW TO REGISTER AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
- To submit an initial EOI, companies must have an ICN Gateway company profile. Information on how to register your company on ICN Gateway is detailed below.
- This is an initial, generic EOI submission only. All companies who submit an EOI will be included in information presented to Construction Companies who are shortlisted to bid for this Project.
- All companies who submit an EOI will be included in information presented to VRET2 project proponents.
- It will then be the responsibility of the VRET2 project proponents to make direct contact with your company.
- The services, programmes and initiatives provided by ICN Victoria are aimed at complementing a company's existing Sales, Marketing and Business Development strategy and any EOI submitted should not be considered as an alternative to these activities.
