Saab Australia is a subsidiary of the international aerospace and defence company Saab AB. Saab Australia has been established in Australia for over 32 years and has an established reputation as a solutions provider specialising in the development and integration of advanced electronic command and control, data/cyber protection and deployable infrastructure solutions for defence, civil security and aviation applications.
Government is seeking to enhance its ability to provide responsive, scalable and adaptable deployable infrastructure to meet evolving operational needs. The ADF and other Government agencies use deployable infrastructure for a range of operations, from full-scale conflict to peacekeeping and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts.
To meet these requirements, Saab Australia will leverage its global experience and lead role in Deployable Health Systems to lead a consortium that combines the best Australian experience and knowledge available in deployable infrastructure.
Saab is engaging with Australian SMEs about opportunities for supply and support of Deployable Infrastructure programs. SMEs with products and services in deployable infrastructure are invited to respond to this Expression of Interest for potential inclusion in future Saab-led programs.
This includes companies that:
- Supply and support deployable field infrastructure including:
- hard shelters
- accommodation equipment
- workshop facilities
- messing including kitchens, server, food storage
- amenities including toilets, showers and laundries
- field logistics and storage
- power generation including renewable energy generation and storage
- water supply management and storage
- waste management
- environmental control
- communications and CIS
- force protection and security systems
- fire protection
- Supply and support engineering and fabrication services
- Supply and support manuals, doctrine and training
Deployable Infrastructure programs present an opportunity to enhance Australian industry capabilities in the design, development and support of these systems, with the potential for export opportunities through the Saab Global Supply Chain.

Saab anticipates that there will be a number of Deployable Infrastructure opportunities over the next 5-10 years.

This is a general EOI submission and Work Packages currently available to submit an EOI for can be viewed by clicking the Work Packages tab above.
Shortlisted SMEs will be invited to tender Work Packages as needed.
