AUSCO - FMG Iron Bridge Magnetite Project

Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (Fortescue) subsidiary FMG Magnetite Pty Ltd and joint venture partner Formosa Steel IB Pty Ltd (Formosa) have approved the development of Stage 2 of the Iron Bridge Magnetite Project (the Project).

The Project is for the development of a new magnetite mine (including processing and transport facilities) and associated infrastructure at the Iron Bridge Magnetite Project site to support production of 22 wet million tonnes per annum (wmtpa) of high grade, magnetite concentrate product. The Iron Bridge site comprises the North Star, Eastern Limb, Glacier Valley and West Star magnetite iron ore deposits, located 145km south of Port Hedland. Delivery of first ore is expected in the first half of calendar year 2022, with ramp up to full production within 12 months.

The Project is located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, approximately 145km south of the Port Hedland International Airport. Ausco has been engaged to provide a camp solution and requires transport services for the installation and eventual removal of single persons quarters and associated shared facilities on-site at the Principals existing Japal camp. The camp installation will occur in stages, with the initial transport requirements detailed in this Expression of Interest (EOI).
