Australian Industrial Energy (AIE) proposes to develop the Port Kembla Gas Terminal in Port Kembla, New South Wales. The project involves the development of a liquified natural gas (LNG) import terminal, which would be the first such import terminal in NSW and provide a simple, flexible solution to the State’s gas supply challenges.
The Port Kembla Gas Terminal Project will be constructed by the Spiecapag Australia/Soletanche Bachy Joint Venture, (SCSB JV).
In summary, the SCSB JV scope of work comprises the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of the following:
· Marine Berth, Dredging (MBD) and spoil removal
· Onshore Receiving Facilities (ORF), Fabrication, installation and commissioning
· Approx. 6.6km of DN450 carbon steel gas pipeline, comprising both open trench and Horizontal Directional Drilling methods.
The project, subject to final approvals, is scheduled for construction in 2021.
The SCSB JV is currently inviting Expressions of Interest from indigenous, local and non-local companies to support the successful delivery of the Project.
