BEON Energy Solutions (ES) has executed an EPC Contract for the Sebastopol Solar Farm with FRV. Sebastopol Solar Farm is located approximately 4 kilometres south east of Sebastopol and approximately 16 kilometres south of Temora in the State of New South Wales. The Sebastopol Solar farm has a nameplate rating of 90MWac and consists of approximately 224,400 PV (photovoltaic) modules mounted on piers that will be driven into the existing subgrade. In addition to this, there will be 20 power station units with 2 inverters each and 3 weather stations, with piles to be driven into existing ground.
The Key Project components include:
✓ photovoltaic solar modules (approximately 224,000 modules)
✓ single-axis tracking module framing system mounted on steel piles
✓ 20 containerized Power Conversion Units (PCUs)
✓ a substation containing transformers, associated switchgear and control and protection equipment
✓ operations and maintenance buildings with associated car parking
✓ road upgrade works on the site access route
✓ above ground and underground cabling
✓ internal all-weather access tracks
✓ security system and security fencing
✓ native vegetation plantings to provide visual screening
✓ meteorological station(s); and
✓ a 132kV transmission line
Procurement has commenced October 2020 with construction to commence in Q1 2021. Construction is expected to take 9 months.
