The Queensland Government is supporting Queensland manufacturers and businesses with their resilience and recovery strategies to continue to operate and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Additionally, manufacturers and businesses who have innovative ideas, the ability to retool, scale up and/or pivot their operations are encouraged to register their interest through the #MakingItForQLD work packages listed below.
The Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning (the Department), has established this portal to help identify, match and manage supply chain shortages due to COVID-19 specifically for businesses in Queensland.
The Department is working with industry on how we can connect local businesses that can help fill supply chain gaps created by the impacts of COVID-19.
Manufacturers or businesses who are having difficulties accessing supplies to continue to operate, employ and meet their customer needs can access a new Queensland Government service. Complete the Manufacturer’s Supply Matching Request form.
If you are a business able to supply to other businesses who are experiencing supply chain issues, please register your business on the ICN Gateway and complete your company profile comprehensively. When specific supply chain opportunities are identified that match your business’ capabilities based on your profile, you will be notified of the opportunity by email that an expression of interest (EOI) has become available on this webpage.
Together, these two services will assist in identifying and connecting possible suppliers of Queensland manufactured goods and services which are vital for Queensland businesses experiencing supply chain shortages.
If you are a business with the capability and capacity to diversify/re-tool/change your manufacturing business, and/or scale up/boost current production to potentially replace current imported goods and services including, but not limited to, personal protective equipment (PPE), the Queensland Government wants to hear from you. Fill out an EOI for ‘MakingItForQld during and after COVID-19’. Additionally, if you have any innovative ideas please register your interest against this work package.
If you are a business who currently imports goods and services from outside Queensland and is interested in shortening your supply chain and reducing your risk on relying on imports, the Queensland Government also wants to hear from you. Fill out an Expression of Interest for ‘MakingItForQld - what do you need to be made in Queensland’.
This will provide Queensland manufacturers and businesses with opportunities to work together to provide new products and service and/or replace imports following this pandemic.
