The redevelopment will expand and enhance the existing Goulburn Base Hospital ensuring it continues to be a leading referral centre in Regional NSW and provide the highest level of health care for the Goulburn community now and into the future. The project scope has been based on the future clinical needs of Goulburn Hospital and includes:
· A new four storey Clinical Services Building that includes
o New main entry and hospital reception
o New emergency department
o New medical imaging department
o New intensive care unit
o New operating theatres, day surgery, recovery and pre-admission areas
o New medical, surgical, paediatric and geriatric inpatient wards with specific designated palliative care beds
o New maternity ward and birthing suite
· Improved distribution of, and increase in, on-site car parking
· An extension to the Community Health Building
The project is a Design and Construct for Health Infrastructure, therefore, it is a Government Contract, which requires a 3.5% Aboriginal Participation in Construction (APIC) allowance.
The goal for procurement is to have all early works trades and services signed up prior to Christmas, allowing the new year to be focused on the finishes trades and remaining procurement. Currently all services, concrete, reinforcement, formwork and civil trade packages have all been procured. Leading into the new year the commercial team will be looking to commence the tender process for the remaining trades.
Once trades are signed up, they must provide their High Risk SWMS and complete the project specific online and site inductions. Once these are complete the design phase will commence and submissions of any designs or shop drawings are issued to Hansen Yuncken for approval.SHOW LESS
