RAAF Darwin AIR7000 Phase 2B Package 1 (Hangar Facilities)
Sitzler Pty Ltd has recently been awarded the contract to deliver RAAF Darwin AIR7000 Phase 2B Package 1.
The scope of works to be delivered under this vertical works package, includes:
- the construction of a maintenance hangar for one P-8A Poseidon aircraft,
- the construction of support squadron facilities
- the construction of operational zones including SCIF
The Package 1 works will be delivered adjacent to the $90M pavement and infrastructure project (Package 4) which was secured by Sitzler in Q3 2019.
Sitzler would like to thank local industry for their support, time and effort during the tender period. They will continue to utilise this gateway page to update the market regarding any further opportunities, including the identification of successful subcontractors for downstream opportunities.
Sitzler are committed to maximising local industry participation and despite the limited local availability of some of the requirements of this complex project, have set the project target for local industry engagement as in excess of 85%. To this end they are encouraging relevant suppliers and subcontractors to keep up-to-date with this project via the gateway page.

The NT Training Areas and Ranges Project seeks to upgrade and expand the existing facilities at Robertson Barracks Close Training Area (RBTA), Kangaroo Flats Training Area (KFTA), Mt Bundey Training Area (MBTA); and Bradshaw Field Training Area (BFTA) to support the United States Forces Posture Initiative (USFPI) within the Territory.
Sitzler has recently been awarded the Early Contractor’s Involvement contract for the Tiger Brennan Drive and Berrimah Road Overpass and is currently progressing the detailed planning and preliminary design stage of this imperative road safety project.
