BAE Systems is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Australian Industry in opportunities to support its response to the Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter (ARH) Replacement project (LAND 4503).
Bell Textron Incorporated (Bell) and BAE Systems Australia teamed in February 2016 in order to offer Bell’s AH-1Z Viper to the Commonwealth of Australia as the replacement for the ‘Tiger’ ARH. The new generation AH-1Z Viper, with its Cobra heritage, is a mature, off-the-shelf, proven and highly capable manned combat helicopter that will deliver all of Army’s Reconnaissance, Attack and Security effects in the close and deep contested battlespace. Viper is available, capable, interoperable and affordable to deliver all ADF mission effects and rapidly achieve operational milestones.
Together, as ‘Team Zulu Viper’ (Team Z Viper), Bell and BAE Systems have integrated their expert capabilities to establish a robust and experienced team ready to partner with Defence and Australian Defence Industry to deliver an FMS or FMS/DCS contract in the first five years.
BAE Systems is the responsible lead for Through Life, Sustainment and Training Support for Viper within Australia. Therefore, BAE Systems is seeking expressions of interest from Australian Industry for potential support for the project.
This ICN portal will continue to be used as the vehicle for registering expressions of interest and posting all non-export controlled work packages available to Australian industry.
