Following the investment by Nordzucker AG, Mackay Sugar is undertaking a major capital and maintenance program over the next 5 years to improve plant reliability, crushing capacity and sugar recovery. A range of engineering construction and process plant upgrade projects will be undertaken at Farleigh, Marian and Racecourse Mills, and in the cane transport and waste water treatment areas. Projects will include refurbishments of milling train components, steam boilers, conveyors, overhead cranes, fire systems, miscellaneous sugar processing plant, tanks, pipework and electrical equipment.
Expression of Interest Process
Expressions of interest are invited from engineering consultants, fabrication and construction companies, and sugar equipment suppliers, which have demonstrated skills and experience in sugar industry projects. Short-listed companies will then be contacted to discuss potential tender packages for specific projects.
This is an initial EOI submission process to create a shortlist and pre-qualify capable trade contractors or suppliers for the Mackay Sugar Capital and Maintenance Program.
- Current work packages open for EOI are listed below.
- To register your interest for a scope(s) of work, submit an EOI, but first set-up a company profile on the ICN Gateway. Click here for help.
- Your company description is used to assess your ability to complete scopes of work when you submit an EOI. Ensuring that you invest the time and energy to represent it most accurately, will give you the best chance of being shortlisted.
- Submitting an EOI does not guarantee procurement from your company. It demonstrates how your capability and capacity align with the project standards. Only shortlisted businesses may be invited to prepare a quotation for specific supply opportunities.
