The Pyxis field is located offshore approximately 15 km north of existing Woodside operated Pluto Gas Field infrastructure, which is 180 kilometres north-west of Karratha.
Woodside is the Operator of the Pyxis and Pluto North fields, with a 90% interest (Woodside’s Pluto Joint Venture participants Kansai Electric and Tokyo Gas each hold a 5% interest).
The Pyxis Hub Project achieved a positive final investment decision in August 2019. Development of the Pyxis Hub will support the future operation of Pluto LNG, the Pluto-NWS Interconnector and the broader Burrup Hub vision. Woodside is developing the Pyxis, Pluto North and Xena 2 infill wells through an approximately 25-kilometre subsea tieback to the Pluto platform. The development includes an upgrade to an existing facility (subsea systems) with minor platform modifications required. The proposed development does not have an onshore modification component.
TechnipFMC was awarded the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) contract which provides for the design, manufacture, deliver and install of subsea equipment including subsea production system, flexible flowlines and umbilicals.SHOW LESS
