The Project

The project investment aims to achieve the build of a new Tier 1 Stadium with seats and precinct covering transport, integrated ticketing, spectator experience, facilities for players, media, restaurant and entertainment provision.


The site is located at 40-44 Driver Avenue, Moore Park within the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground. It is bound by Moore Park Road to the north, Fox Studios to the east, the existing Sydney Cricket Ground to the south and Driver Avenue to the west. The site is located within the City of Sydney local government area.


The site is largely surrounded by Centennial and Moore Parks, the Fox Studios and Entertainment Quarter precincts and the residential suburb of Paddington. Located approximately 3km from the Sydney CBD and approximately 2km from Central Station, the site is connected to Sydney’s transport network through existing bus routes.

Project Staging

The Sydney Football Stadium Redevelopment is to be split into two stages as per the below:


Stage 1

The Stage 1 works include the site establishment, decommissioning of existing services, demolition of nominated buildings and footings, services relocations and installations, bulk excavation, piling, and foundations required for the new Sydney Football Stadium (SFS) Redevelopment. The overall site includes the following areas:


Sydney Football Stadium;

Associated Buildings; and

The Sydney Cricket Ground Precinct.


The Stage 1 works in connection with the Contract are to be tendered in five sub stages (A-E), which ultimately form the Stage 1 Works Brief:

Stage 1A: Site Establishment and Decommissioning;

Stage 1B: Demolition;

Stage 1C: Services Relocation;

Stage 1D: Bulk Excavation; and

Stage 1E: Piling and Foundations.


Stage 2

The Stage 2 works are the remainder of the project works not outlined in Stage 1, including but not limited to all stadium structural works including the steel roof structure and façade, installation of PV cells, all services and fit-out of the enclosed spaces as defined by the architectural documents as well as all surrounding external works.

How To Register An Expression Of Interest

As part of SFS Redevelopment Stage 1, Invitations to Register interest (ITR) are requested from suitably qualified Subcontractors for the packages listed below.


To submit an initial EOI for the Work Scopes, companies must have an ICN Gateway company profile. Information on how to register your company on ICN Gateway is detailed below.


The Invitation to Register is the first of a two- stage tender process. Lendlease will select suitable tenderers for particular trade packages from those that register interest through ICN Gateway and request they complete the pre-qualification requirements on the project website.


Please note, Invitations to Register Interest for Stage 2 Works will be made at a later date as trade packages are progressively released.

NSW Code Compliance

The NSW Government’s Code of Practice for Procurement (NSW Code) and the NSW Government’s Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for Procurement for: Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines) apply to this project. Compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any response to a procurement process (expression of interest or tender response) and to any successful applications being awarded.
