About Hawker Pacific
Employing more than 500 Australians at 10 facilities around the nation Hawker Pacific is a market leader in integrated civil and military aerospace sales and product support in Australia.
The Hawker Pacific team draws on over 40 years of experience to provide Defence with highly capable aviation assets and mission focused Through Life Support (TLS) solutions to ensure operational readiness and mission success.
Our current programs continue to grow Australia’s sovereign Defence Industry capability base through the support of aviation capability across air mobility, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), training and the development of advanced technologies.
In February 2019 at the Avalon International Air Show and Aerospace & Defence Exhibition, Hawker Pacific confirmed that together with long standing partner Bell we are leading the development of a response to the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) forthcoming Special Operations Helicopter acquisition project, under LAND 2097 Phase 4, based around the Bell 407 or 429 platforms.
Under this project Defence is planning to acquire a fleet of light helicopters to enhance the ADF Special Operations capability, as advised in the 2016 Defence White Paper. The helicopters are to be proven Commercial or Military off the shelf, optimised for operating in dense urban environments, and capable of being rapidly deployed by air transport in ADF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III aircraft.
The helicopter will primarily support air assault of small Special Forces teams and should be capable of being rapidly re-configured by fitment of simple, proven, ISR equipment and weapons systems to fulfil its secondary roles.
It is anticipated that the capability will be strongly supported by industry personnel across the principal areas of maintenance and ground crew, engineering, training and logistics (supply chain) support.
The primary location for the capability will be at Holsworthy Barracks, Sydney, NSW.
With Bell Helicopter’s leading performance and reliability combined with Hawker Pacific’s local expertise and Through Life Support capabilities, our world-class team provides a highly effective Special Operations Helicopter solution.
LAND 2097 Phase 4 represents an opportunity for Australian industry to participate in both the acquisition and ongoing Through Life Support of this new ADF capability through the supply of products and services to support Hawker Pacific in the delivery of the Special Operations Helicopter to protect Australians at home and abroad.
Hawker Pacific is committed to identifying and engaging with potential Australian suppliers, including small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) and Indigenous businesses, which have capabilities to support upcoming work packages and demonstrate a real value proposition to the project.
This ICN portal will be used as the primary vehicle for potential suppliers to register expressions of interest (EOI), respond to specific work packages as they are released and support prequalification activities.
Initially, a number of high level supply categories have been identified which organisations can register interest against so we may notify you when applicable specific work packages are released.
