About the Project

Barossa is an offshore gas and light condensate project being progressed by the Barossa Joint Venture comprising ConocoPhillips Australia Barossa Pty Ltd as Operator (ConocoPhillips Australia), Santos Offshore Pty Ltd and SK E&S Australia Pty Ltd.

As part of the Barossa Offshore Project (“Project”), MODEC has been awarded one of two Front End Engineering and Design (“FEED”) Competition contracts by ConocoPhillips Australia Barossa Pty Ltd for the provision of a Lease and Operate Option for the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (“FPSO”) Facility.

It is important to note that due to the nature of the FEED Competition contract, Expressions of Interest (“EoI”) submitted by Suppliers to MODEC during the FPSO FEED Phase may not progress beyond FEED.

For clarity, submission of an EoI through the ICN Gateway website does not place any obligation upon MODEC to accept or grant award of the Contract.

The Public Address and General Alarm System (PAGA) shall be fully redundant system, with an alarm annunciation in the accommodations and topsides process areas. Speaker coverage and amplification levels will account for the ambient noise levels. The gyro-stabilized VSAT shall be back-up communication data transmission to FPSO. The Tanker berthing Aids shall provide real time kinetic (RTK) differential GPS to determine the position of the antennas in centimetre value. It shall have portable units which allows determining FPSO heading and allows the system to draw in real time the position of the Tanker and tug boat.
