Project Details

Located 20km north of Rockhampton in Queensland, Capricornia Correctional Centre provides facilities for remand, reception and sentenced high and low security prisoners, and offers inmates a wide range of vocational education and training programs.

CPB Contractors has been selected by Queensland Corrective Services to deliver new and upgraded facilities at the Capricornia Correctional Centre to support an increase in capacity and ongoing prison services, including a minimum of 164 additional residential cells in new buildings, 100 bunks in secure cells, a new residential officers station, and a site-wide electronic security upgrade.

CPB Contractors encourages local industry to register interest (ROI) through the ICN Gateway webpage under the packages nominated.

Please ensure that:

  • Your company profile on the ICN Gateway is complete, up-to-date and accurate including electing to be notified via e-mail of supply opportunities.
  •  You register your interest as a full or partial scope supplier (where applicable), and
  •  You respond to all project and work package-specific questions.

It is important that businesses submitting an ROI/EOI are aware that their submission does not guarantee that they will progress further in the procurement process. Only companies that can demonstrate capability and capacity in accordance with CPB Contractors standards will be invited for specific opportunities.

CPB Contractors strongly encourage local industry to contact the ICN Queensland in the first instance to improve their understanding of the ROI process.

Please note that specific opportunities to participate on this project will be advertised soon. Local companies are encouraged to keep a close eye on this page and also set up notifications in their ICN Gateway Company profile to ensure new work-packages listed are received through a notification.

Firms expressing interest are to be aware that the CPB Constructions for this project will have to comply with the following specific government requirements

1. Queensland Code

2. Building Code 2016

3. Support for Local Industry

To meet their head contract obligations, CPB may reciprocate these requirements into their sub-contracts.
