Project Details

The Buy Local Project Northern Rivers was developed to grow regional prosperity by connecting our local government agencies with local businesses who offer the services and products we need.

The Buy Local Project Northern Rivers was launched by Lismore City Council, the Northern NSW Local Health District and the University Centre for Rural Health on 5 July 2013.

This exciting partnership has the potential to have a massive financial ripple effect for our community. Our organisations value local people and we want to buy local ourselves, keeping money and jobs in the region.

Contracts advertised as part of the Buy Local Project Northern Rivers could range from very small jobs or supply orders right through to large projects and bulk goods.

Work packages (see below) cover trades and services that our organisations require. This could range from construction labour to medical products, office supplies, electrical goods, kitchen equipment, catering, cleaning... the list is endless.

The Buy Local Project Northern Rivers has enormous potential to promote business retention and expansion, increase jobs and employment, and encourage regional workforce development.

ICN gives us the perfect mechanism to connect government and industry with local suppliers.

We look forward to doing business with you.
