Project Details

The Coopers Gap Wind Farm is being developed by PARF and includes the installation of 123 wind turbine generators (WTG) with a combined capacity of up to 453MW.

The Coopers Gap Wind Farm is located near Cooranga North in Queensland, approximately 180 km northwest of Brisbane. The closest townships to the project are Bell and Kumbia, 30km to the south and east respectively.

PARF have contracted the GE-CATCON Consortium to deliver the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract. GE-CATCON have in turn engaged Walbridge Gilbert and Aztec (WGA) and Consolidated Power Projects Australia Pty Ltd (CPP) to carry out the civil and electrical balance of plant (BOP) contract which includes design, supply and installation of access roads, WTG foundations, electrical reticulation and transmission lines, operation and maintenance facilities and upgrades of existing infrastructure.

Works are scheduled to commence in February 2018 with the first wind turbine components expected to be delivered to site in May 2018, the substation expected to be ready for service in Q4 2018 and practical completion of the project is expected in Q4 2019.

CATCON is largely a self-performing construction company, however where there is opportunity to engage local suppliers in a competitive manner CATCON will endeavour to do so.

Further information on specific supply opportunities will be provided as it becomes available and local suppliers will be able to register their interest against them.

Expressions of Interest communicated via the ICN Gateway are not Request for Tenders and in turn are not a commitment or representation that CATCON will issue a Request for Quotation to procure the goods or service(s) listed.

CATCON may contact one (1) or more of the organisations that lodge an Expression of Interest to discuss the requirements of the goods or service(s) to be provided. Response to the EOI does not guarantee that CATCON will contact your organisation.

CATCON shall only invite suppliers who, through their response to the EOI, can clearly demonstrate capability and capacity against the documented scope. It is essential that your company profile on the ICN Gateway is complete, up-to-date and accurate - as any incomplete profiles will not be considered.
