Global Civil and Mining (GCM) provides a service that delivers precise and controlled excavation and milling of rock and other materials using Wirtgen Surface Miners.
Surface Miners are large self-propelled milling machines that use a rotating cutting drum to mill materials. They cut, crush, and load material, including rock (with an Unconfined Compressive Strength up to 80Mpa), in a single pass at varying depths of up to 500mm. Surface Miners are highly productive and very cost effective when compared to traditional drill and blast or rock-breaking techniques, and are able to work in close proximity to existing infrastructure, or environmentally sensitive areas.
