The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Gallery of Australia (ATSIAGA) project will be a collaborative and transformative endeavour of excellence for national cultural institutions.

Located in the heart of the nation and the birthplace of contemporary Aboriginal art, Mparntwe (Alice Springs), it will celebrate and honour the stories, traditions, cultural expressions and truth-telling of our First Nations people nationally.

Sitzler has recently been selected as the Managing Contractor responsible for the delivery of this nationally significant and world-class facility in partnership with the Northern Territory and Australian Governments, local Arrernte communities and First Nations peoples from across Australia.

The design for the Gallery is currently being finalised. However, the works will sit between Lhere Mparntwe (Todd River) and Untyeyetwelye (Anzac Hill). They will include the construction of a 4-storey, 4,900m2 gallery building, an external services building, as well as external works including a water feature, extensive landscaping and new car parking.
