TAS Australia
DEPT OF STATE GROWTH
The TGHH Project has been designed to provide open access common-use infrastructure, in the areas of energy transmission, water and port, necessary for supporting a large-scale green hydrogen export facility at Bell Bay. The TGHH Project will support one or more green hydrogen production projects utilising up to a total of 300MW in electrolyser capacity and expected 45,000tpa of hydrogen production, or equivalent of derivatives.
The TGHH Project will foster domestic uptake of green hydrogen across transportation, maritime, agriculture, heavy industrial and manufacturing, and Antarctic sectors, through procuring green hydrogen use-case projects to support future offtake.
The TGHH Project will undertake community and industry education and engagement activities and facilitate hydrogen workforce planning and skills development.
The TGHH Project will conduct a process to select one or more proponents that will construct Tasmania's first export sized hydrogen production facility, either producing green hydrogen, or another green hydrogen derivative, with a production commencement target date of March 2028.
