The Australian Defence Export Office (ADEO) was established in April 2018 as a key initiative of the 2018 Defence Export Strategy. The ADEO is the focal point for coordinating whole-of-government defence export support for Australian defence industry, to ensure it can meet Australia’s defence capability needs now and into the future.
Fortescue is committed to decarbonising its Australian iron ore operations in mining, port, rail, Non-process Infrastructure and mobile fleet in the Pilbara in Western Australia to achieve real zero terrestrial emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 2030. Real zero refers to no fossil fuels and wherever possible, no offsets.
The Gibson Island Project (Project) has been identified as an opportunity to develop a green ammonia hub in Brisbane, Queensland through construction of a green hydrogen production facility alongside an existing gas-based facility owned and run by Incitec Fertilizers Pty Limited. Incitec's facility will convert Gibson Island H2's green hydrogen into green ammonia for both domestic and export markets.
