Territoria Civil are tendering on the Adelaide River Floodplain Upgrade Roadworks project. This project involves raising the level of the road to improve flood immunity either side of the bridge from chainage 30.200km to 36.840km. The project will reduce the Annual Average Time of Closure (AATOC) from 6.6 days/year to 8 hours/year. No upgrade is proposed to the bridge itself as it has a 1:100 flood immunity. Proposed Works Include:
- Realignment of 6km of Arnhem Highway
- Wicking and surcharging to achieve consolidation for new highway and bridge abutments
- Raising the embankment of the road from the lowest point at RL 2.4m AHD to RL 4.7m AHD.
No detours are proposed as the new road is being constructed on a new alignment. Where the new road matches in with the existing road, construction will be managed under traffic.
The successful contractor will also need to interface with the Bridgeworks contractor; this package will be issued to market separately.
Businesses interested in providing services to Territoria Civil on this project are requested to submit an expression of interest against the 'Any Opportunities' package below.
