AIR 2025 Phase 6 Registration of Interest
BAE Systems currently supports the Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN), which provides wide area surveillance to Australias northern air and sea approaches.
JORN comprises three, remote Over The Horizon Radars located in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland. These are controlled and operated by the Air Force from the JORN Coordination Centre at RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA.
Delivered through Project AIR 2025, JORN has been progressively upgraded with the next major phase (Phase 6) set to commence in 2018.
BAE Systems is working to develop a solution for AIR 2025 Phase 6 that will extend the operational life of JORN beyond 2040. This phase will incorporate new and/or upgraded sensor hardware and software, signals processing, data fusion, communications and information systems and operator training facilities.
BAE Systems welcomes the opportunity for regular industry engagement and is committed to exploring Australian products and services for this emerging project.
