Boost for SA investment

Investors and businesses looking for the best opportunities in South Australia will be able to get all the information they need from the South Australian Investment Atlas.

The State Government launched the Investment Atlas to provide key location-based information to support decisions about business investments in South Australia. Users can to see a property for sale, check that it has right infrastructure and zoning and contact the estate agent.

The online tool gives users key information about:

  • commercial real estate availability
  • land zoning
  • infrastructure including roads, rail, water, electricity, gas, high speed internet, waste disposal
  • economic and social data.

ICN SA’s Bettina Venner said this would reduce the time needed by companies and government departments to gather information, a process that can often take weeks.

“Having all the information at the click of a mouse would boost investment in the state,” she said.

The map includes a drop-down menu option for users to filter results based on ICN company profile information.

“Information is now easier to access, with details about local businesses and supply chains, including businesses registered on ICN Gateway with an active profile.

“Investors will be able to access your ABN, company name and other names, description, products and services, street and postal addresses, contact phone number and website. For companies with a current subscription, there is also a link to your company profile on ICN Gateway

This will help investors select the best location for their presence in SA taking into account proximity to local supply chains.

“You can make any changes to the information displayed for your company by logging into ICN Gateway and editing your company information in your dashboard,” Bettina said. Regular updates will also ensure that your company profile remains active.

Business can ensure that their location is accurately displayed on the interactive map by starting to type their address in their ICN Gateway dashboard, and then selecting the address from a drop-down list rather than entering the entire address manually, noting that for some remote areas the address may not display.
