The Land Development Corporation (LDC) assists enterprises by providing easy access to well-located industrial, commercial, and residential land in Australia's Northern Territory. It plays a crucial role in planning for economic growth and development and aims to deliver strategic land and investment opportunities to the Northern Territory market commercially.
The Corporation is committed to delivering developments that may not provide a sufficient enough return for the private sector to undertake on their own, and developments that are required by the Government to increase the supply of land where short supply threatens the economic well-being of the Northern Territory.
The Corporation applies private sector rigour to its projects to deliver a return to the Northern Territory Government. Where appropriate, they work with the Northern Territory Government and the private sector to provide a diverse range of projects in a commercial and responsible manner.

Middle Arm Industrial Precinct is home to two of the Northern Territory's most significant gas processing facilities in Santos Darwin LNG and the INPEX Ichthys Onshore LNG Processing Facility. The Precinct is set to become a world class hub for gas production and manufacturing by 2030. Located on the Middle Arm Peninsula, the master-planned 600 hectare estate will provide a variety of lot sizes for sale or lease, to accommodate large strategic industries for downstream gas processing and gas manufacturing. All lots will have access to an extensive product corridor network and planned water access to Darwin Harbour.

In mid-2020, the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, requested submissions for contributions in forming a strategic fuel storage policy for Australia. The Land Development Corporation has submitted a range of sites suitable for the storage of fuel in the Northern Territory.
The Land Development Corporation's land holdings at East Arm, strategically located adjacent to the East Arm Wharf, are ideally suited and are reserved for bulk liquids storage.
To support these processes, the Land Development Corporation has established a Registration of Interest (ROI) process for parties participating in the Australian and United States Government fuel storage processes. The land noted will be available to the successful tenderer/s of these processes.
